Provide 8-bit PWM output with the analogWrite() function. The board comes with 4 serial ports, one SPI, and one I2C communication protocol. There are 15 analog pins incorporated on the board. There are total 54 digital I/O pins available on the board out of which 15 pins are used as PWM pins. See the attachInterrupt() function for details. The Arduino Mega 2560 Rev3 is a microcontroller board that is based on the ATmega2560 microcontroller. These pins can be configured to trigger an interrupt on a low value, a rising or falling edge, or a change in value. ![]() Pins 0 and 1 are also connected to the corresponding pins of the ATmega16U2 USB-to-TTL Serial chip.Įxternal Interrupts: 2 (interrupt 0), 3 (interrupt 1), 18 (interrupt 5), 19 (interrupt 4), 20 (interrupt 3), and 21 (interrupt 2). The Uno also has 14 digital I/O pins, while the Mega has 54. The Uno has 32 KB of flash memory, 2KB of SRAM, and 1KB of EEPROM, while the Mega has 256KB of flash memory, 8KB of SRAM, and 4KB of EEPROM. Used to receive (RX) and transmit (TX) TTL serial data. The Arduino Uno is based on the ATmega328P microcontroller, while the Mega is based on the ATmega2560. In addition, some pins have specialized functions: Voltage Regulator-The voltage regulator converts the input voltage to 5V. It has a crystal oscillator-16 MHz, a power jack, an ICSP header, a USB-B port, and a RESET button. Each pin can provide or receive a maximum of 40 mA and has an internal pull-up resistor (disconnected by default) of 20-50 kOhms. Arduino Mega 2560 has 54 digital input/output pins, where 16 pins are analog inputs, 14 are PWM pins, and 6 are hardware serial ports (UARTs). ![]() While Arduinos can interact with a serial device by emulating a UART in software, they cant get baudrates of 115200 while doing so. Each of the 54 digital pins on the Arduino 2560 Mega can be used as an input or output, using pinMode(), digitalWrite(), and digitalRead() functions. Given the relative costs of these boards, I think the Arduino Mega 2560+Wifi and its clones are worth a little extra if for no other reason than having four hardware serial UARTs.
